Amelia Earhart’s Flight, Sunday July 8, 3pm at Miller Field

Amelia Earhart – Aviation Pioneer.  Sunday, July 8, 3pm at Miller Field, 801 New Dorp Lane, SINY 10306 (at Cedar Grove Ave, 2 blocks off Hylan Blvd).

Amelia Earhart, pioneering American aviatrix, disappeared mysteriously during a flight over the South Pacific.  A search party is setting out in July 2012 to investigate reports that the remnants of her plane may have been sighted.

Staten Island OutLOUD invites you to join us at historic Miller Field as we reflect on the life of this pioneering American aviator.  Bring a lawn chair and gather with us near the airplane hangars as we read from her letters, journals and other historic materials.  If it rains, we’ll meet in the Ranger Station.

Free and open to the public.  Be sure to bring a lawn chair!
