Friday Oct 11, 7pm & 8pm: The Morgan Library and Museum, 225 Madison Avenue at 37th St, NYC 10016.
Staten Island OutLOUD is delighted that The Morgan Library & Museum invited us to present Poe’s chilling tales in conjunction with their stunning new exhibition: Edgar Allan Poe: Terror of the Soul (which runs from Oct 4, 2013-Jan 26, 2014). Music by Wafoo: Yuuki Koike & Kazuo Nakamura. Join us to hear Poe read aloud in this stunning setting, the home of J.P. Morgan.
This event is part of The Morgan Library & Museum’s Free Fridays series; free admission from 7pm. After OutLOUD’s reading, enjoy a tour of the exhibit. And on the way home to Staten Island, we’ll read more Poe on the Ferry! For directions via public transportation, visit www.hopstop.com.
NOTE: Both the 7pm & 8pm OutLOUD readings are now sold out. However, admission to The Morgan is free every Friday night after 7pm. The Morgan’s Poe exhibition (Edgar Allan Poe: Terror of the Soul) runs through Jan 26, 2014; for exhibition details visit their website, www.themorgan.org.
