Cheesy Poe Film Fest – “The Raven”

Sat, Oct 26, 2pm, at Port Richmond Library, 77 Bennett St, SINY 10302

We’ll screen “The Raven” – a hilarious send-up of Poe’s classic.  Starrying Vincent Price, Peter Lorre, Boris Karloff and a very young Jack Nicholson.  This B-movie classic is an “embellishment” on Edgar Allan Poe’s immortal poem.  But the embellishments go so far afield that the poem is all but unrecognizable.  Hilarious, but almost unrecognizable – though the bird does make a personal appearance.  One critic called it “Cheesecake meets pure cheese.”

Kids will get a kick out of the saber-light swordplay between Vincent Price and Boris Karloff.

Fun for all ages!

Plenty of free parking on the street. For directions via public transportation, visit www.hopstop.comV Price and Raven
